For one Day and Night we bring you a very special event, a super groovy showdown of everything Disco from right at the beginning in the mid 70's to the resurgent scene right now! It's long been said that the one genre we all have a space in our hearts for is Disco music; the emotion, the groove, the excitement, the passion that exuberates right through from the bass guitar to the lead vocals to the dance floor.. We need it in our life and this is a party that celebrates the legacy, the supremecy and the History of DISCO music.
Headlining with his fresh take on the Disco sound is world renowned Hacienda legend Greg Wilson and his new series and good friends Credit to the Edit which celebrates the Edit/Remix/Re-Rub of Disco, Soul, RnB, Jazz & Hip-Hop tracks. We then have Chicago legend and self-confessed party animal Jamie 3.26 coming down for a special 3 Hour set where he will be digging through the vaults to remind us how important the Chicago, Philidalphia, New York, Detroit and USA have been in bringing the Disco sound to the fore.
To add to this we have The Mighty Zaf representing the infamous London based Love Vinyl Record shop who will be bringing with him his vast Soul, Disco, Funk and Boogie record collection. Midnight Riots boss Yam Who? who has worked with NYC's infamous band Odyssey and many more will be spinning his infamous Nu-Disco sound and other tasty Disco jams. The Funky Fever Fam and the Mexican duo Moses y Nuno complete the bill with some of the flavours that first influenced the Disco sound: Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Funk, Pop and More.
In terms of ticketing - we really recommend buying advance tickets for this event to guarantee entry. All of our previous London events have sold out in advance and we expect this one too also. If you can't make it for some reason, you’ll be able to resell your tickets on the Resident Advisor Reseller Network and get that hard earned $$$ back.
